With Us

1473 was the year in which William Caxton produced his first printed book, and the first book printed anywhere in English.

The mass production of printed matter in English, helped standardise regional dialects and narrow the gap between the spoken and written language in this country. The work of Guttenberg, Caxton and others in the development of the printing press is also considered the birthplace of modern mass communication.

Clearly, an awful lot has changed since 1473, but the principles of story-telling and communication still hold true.
